Problem: A contractor required a safety technician during an unscheduled outage at a power plant to ensure protocols were followed and personnel protected. The need to minimize downtime was essential.
SITEX Solution: Our professional approach led to a two-year ongoing relationship with the power plant. SITEX’s team earned additional projects with a positive “can do” attitude and level of expertise that the client came to rely on regularly. These additional services have included that of safety technician, safety supervisor, senior safety and training supervisor and rescue teams on numerous scenarios. We have also offered fit testing, monitor rentals, monitor sales, monitor repairs, PPE equipment, supplied breathing air rentals, hexavalent chromium sampling and reporting, dust samples/fly ash, valve packing material sample, calibrations, fire extinguisher training, first aid/CPR training, and Tank Entry Supervisor (TES). We also helped write and create safety programs ((LOTO (lockout, tagout), confined space, client new hire training)), plus OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 hour classes, and contractor orientation.
SITEX currently has a minimum of five people on site at all times.
